This is the genuine original equipment replacement UV power supply / controller / ballast for Sterilight Silver Series UV sterilizers (non-monitored models).

This ballast is also a direct replacement for the obsolete BA-ICE-1F, BA-ICE-2F, and BA-ICE-3F ballasts.

The BA-ICE-S ballast features a water-tight case, 4 segment LED display showing lamp life remaining and total operating time, and audible indicator. Comes with newly designed and upgraded (2014) lamp connector.

The BA-ICE-S ballast is compatible with the following Viqua/Trojan systems: SQ-PA S1Q-PA S2Q-PA S5Q-PA S8Q-PA S12Q-PA S1Q-DWS S2Q-DWS S5Q-DWS SSM-14 SSM-17 SSM-24 SSM-37 SSM-39 It will connect with and provide the correct voltage for any of the lamps for those systems. It should not be used with any other system or lamp.

Question:Do you have a ballast for a S5Q-PA system which has a separate connection for the light level of the lamp
Answer(s):

No. The S5Q-PA uses the BA-ICE-S ballast which does not provide UV intensity monitoring.

Question:Blank screen with alarm beeping
Answer(s):

Check to make sure all wiring connection points are making a good connection. I recommend that you try a ballast reset. Unplug the power cord from the wall to de-energize the system. Press and hold the black reset button on the side of the controller. While still holing it down, plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet to power up the system. You will hear a series of beeps, then let go of the black button. Note: this process will re-set your lamp life counter to 365 so you should set a reminder in your calendar as to the correct replacement time if your remember when your lamp was last changed (lamp life is 1 year). If that does not resolve the problem and you have a spare lamp on hand, you can try that as well just to be sure although a bad lamp would normally provide an on-screen error code. If problem remains, please take note of your serial number and send us an email and we can check with VIQUA for next steps and potential for warranty coverage for you.

We only sell genuine Sterilight brand replacement parts from Viqua. The use of non-original equipment with your UV system could void your warranty and/or result in system damage, pre-mature lamp failure, loss of equipment validation, inadequate water disinfection, and even hazardous electrical shorts.
