The Water-Right CT-03-CB-IO, AO Smith CT-03-CB-IO, & Purus CT-03-CB-IO incorporates surface modified carbon block filter technology that is highly effective reducing bad taste, odor, and chlorine from potable drinking water. The filter is made using high performance coconut shell carbon, which has more micropores compared to other types of carbon. Coupled with a unique binder system, the CT-03-CB has superior adsorption capacity and kinetic dynamics, making a cost effective water filtration solution in a size and configuration that offer ease-of-use, extended service life, less frequent cartridge replacement, superior flow capacity, and low pressure loss.

The CT-03-CB is ideal for whole house chlorine removal and general taste/odor improvement for homes on city water supplies. It is also popular for light commercial applications. Its large media volume provides far superior flow rate capacity and service life as compared to typical whole house carbon filters (4.5 x 10 Inch and 4.5 x 20 Inch "Big Blue" style cartridges). The CT-03-CB provides nominal 3 micron filtration over a service life of >250,000 gallons (almost 1,000,000 liters!) with greater than 90% chlorine reduction at flow rates up to 15 gpm (56.78 LPM). Capacity estimated based on 2ppm of free chlorine level.

All components and materials are made with FDA approved materials, and manufactured from NSF 61 certified coconut shell carbon, and are California Prop 65 compliant.
