The doc that came with the SCM600 indicates the valve goes before the sterilizer chamber while some of their later documents for other products shows the valve after the sterilizer chamber. I decided after the chamber makes more sense. It definitely shuts off at 49% UV transmittance. I wish that was adjustable. The only problem I had with the valve is the female threaded inserts lack any flat spots to hold it with a wrench. The very hard, smooth finished SS was nearly impossible to hold in order to thread in a male fitting. I have never had this much trouble getting a pipe fitting to seal up. It needs a couple of flats milled in the female thread adapter so you can hold it with a wrench.
