Too bad they stopped making this one

Nice design. Easy to install. The water release valve is a good idea. It keeps the temp inside the sterilizer from getting too high when there is no water usage. The only issue I had was when it was first powered up. It failed to come up as described in the manual. Successive attempts were required before it would respond to the reset. I contacted support but they seemed unconcerned. I was a bit nervous about powering it down fearing the controller/ballast might not come back up. But I had to test and it did recover normally from a power outage. Next year when I change the bulb, I can only hope it can be reset. I have it on a UPS now. It has been in service since March 2016 and continues to work well. I never imagined how much silt was in my well water before adding three 20" filters in front of the sterilizer.
It really is too bad they discontinued this model.
