Karbonous's PSC1240AW granular activated carbon (GAC) is made from coconut shell activated via high temperature & high-pressure steam with excellent hardness and mechanical strength and is used for the promotion of oxidation. Coconut shell carbons with high activity are effective in adsorbing TCE, PCE, chlorine, MTBE, and disinfection by-products. This coconut shell carbon is pH neutral and has a low ash content. This carbon is mainly used for beverage water & potable water applications, organics/TOC removal, and taste and odor removal. Specific applications include chloramines, organic compounds including pesticides and herbicides form drinking water including cartridge manufacturing.
Karbonous PSC1240AW meets NSF standard 61 for use in potable water.
