This filter is very similar in composition, performance, and function as the Pentek P5. It is manufactured from pure polypropylene for excellent resistance to chemicals and bacteria, and good dirt-holding capacity. The expected pressure drop is only 0.4 psi at 5 GPM.

Applications:
The SDF-25-1005 is an ideal pre-filter most point-of-use drinking water systems, including may reverse-osmosis systems. It is the standard original-equipment pre-filter in our ClearChoice 4-Stage reverse osmosis system as it offers excellent value for your dollar. It can also be used for whole house applications where high flow rates are not required.

The workhorse of our whole house sediment filters. This is a true multi-depth sediment filter featuring progressively tighter spun polypropylene to create 4 levels of sediment filtration in one filter. The outer layer filters down to 75 microns. The inner layers, filter to 50, 25, and finally 10, microns respectively. The multi-gradient design allows use of the whole filter depth, adding more dirt-holding capacity, maximizing water pressure, and increasing flow rates. Excellent chemical and bacteria resistance. Features a special formulation of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester fibers to provide better wet strength than regular pleated cellulose fibers. Pleated design ensures excellent dirt holding capacity and high flow capacity while maintaining an extremely low pressure drop (less than 1 psi at 20 gallons per minute).

Applications:
A wide range of general whole house sediment filtration tasks where high flow rates are required and very low pressure drop is desired. This filter is NOT recommended for non-treated water sources (well water or lake water, etc.) - the DGD-5005 dual gradient filter is a better choice for untreated water supplies - see below. Dual Gradient 5 Micron Sediment Filter
This filter features 2 separate gradient densities to created a dual stage filter with 3 times the dirt holding capacity of similarly sized sediment filters. The outer layer of the filter is rated at 50 microns whereas the inner layer filters down to a level of 5 microns. Made from 100% pure polypropylene, this filter is very resistent to bacteria and chemcials, making it a perfect choice for use on untreated water supplies (wells, lakes, etc.). Initial pressure drop of less than 1 psi at 10 GPM.

Applications:
A wide range of whole house sediment filtration tasks where high flow rates are required, and where very low pressure drop and high dirt holding capcity is desired.
